Britney Spears told David Letterman on Tuesday that she is pregnant with baby No. 2. "Don't worry Dave, it's not yours," the pop princess quipped on "The Late Show."

The revelation ended weeks of speculation in entertainment magazines, which have been regularly publishing pictures of Spears' apparently expanding waistline.

Spears, 24, and her husband, backup dancer-turned-rapper Kevin Federline, 28, were married in 2004 and have an 8-month-old son, Sean Preston.

Federline also has two children, Kori and Kaleb, with his former girlfriend,
Shar Jackson.

Child welfare officials and a sheriff's deputy reportedly visited Spears' home in April after her son accidentally tumbled from a high chair.

In February, authorities visited the home after photographs showed the singer in a car with her son in her lap, rather than in a car seat as required by law. Spears later apologized, saying she held the boy in her lap because of a "horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi."

Spears rose to fame at 16 with a naughty schoolgirl image and the multiplatinum album "... Baby One More Time."

Agreed, and she ain't exactly top shelf either. I'm sure I've said this before, but girls like Britney are a dime a dozen in the South. Yeah, she's cute and blonde, but when you really look closely under the shellaced layer of makeup and get past the cute Southern accent, she's pretty average, at best.

I am honored to be given the most vile of thread titles crown, but you would think The Obner or someone like that would have came up with a far more vile title.



Also:
Before she popped out a kid Britney was losing her looks. She started looking like those hot girls from high school that spent too much time eating junk food and partying during their first couple years of college. Then you go home to visit and see them at a bar, and wonder why you ever thought they were really hot.

I didn't see Letterman last night but I was listening to sports talk this morning and they were bashing her saying she looked rough.

Yeah so she turned into a damn ole gutbeater. At least we'll always have this cover of Esquire:

seriously..that was freaking funny. i haven't seen a second of letterman since december. i love how britney had now idea what "tamiflu" was, so much so that she wouldn't even dare to pronounce it. i wish she had tried...that would have been high comedy.
