My wife suggested a new wedding band (?) or a 60 gb video ipod. I have the non-video one, so any other suggestions?

I'm going to my friends graduation from Med school this weekend.

I'm going to give him a firm handshake and a number to my Russian girlfriend. He's gonna have a pleasurable few days :)

Well figure out what you like to do in your downtime, you know hobbies or what not, and go from there. Like for me, it'd be music gear (boss rc-50 is high on the list), cooking gear (new grill maybe), biking gear (slightly larger cyclocross bike and then give mine to deena), audiophile gear (replacement turntable, etc)...

You gotta have something you want, even if it's just a meal somewhere you dig, or fuzzy dice for your car or something inane. And if you don't want anything, don't feel obliged to get something. Save the spree for when you do want something and you can be like, well i'm getting this because I graduated. Yeah, i know that was three years ago, but I was saving it up for this.

Yeah.

I agree with is, especially if you have a job lined up or plan on working in a truly professional environment. I wish I had a classy suit rather than some mediocre sport coats.

i have been working in a professional environment for 10 years w/o a suit - most jobs dont require suits anymore. you will probably just need 1 or 2 - for funerals, weddings, and job interviews.

spend the money on a trip for you and your wife.

All practical suggestions, indeed. I'd say a couple of bottles of Maker's Mark and some strange.
