Nirvana did (at least) two versions of "Polly" and they are all enjoyable.

of Montreal did two versions of "City Bird" (although one version is from A Pollinare Rave) and they are both great.

I want this list complete and on my desk by tomorrow morning!

David Bowie did a full band version of Dead Man Walking on Earthling, and a totally slow accoustic version on Conan O'Brien's Live from 6A, just him and Reeves Gabrels on guitar.

Both versions are stunning, imo.

Btw, I think Earthling is my favorite Bowie disc, thanks for asking.

Peter Gabriel has at least four versions of "Here Comes The Flood." Best one is on Fripp's Exposure album

Neil Young is probably the king of this:

Tonight's the Night
Hey Hey My My / My My Hey Hey
Mr. Soul
Rockin' in the Free World
Western Hero / Train of Love (same exact tune, different lyrics)

There's also a completely different, quiet version of "Steam" called (wait for it...) "Quiet Steam" on the "Steam" CD single.

Virtually all of Orange Juice's early catalogue was recorded at least two and somes three or four times, whether it be for the early Postcard singles, the never released Ostrich Churchyard album, Peel Sessions or major label debut album 'You Can't Hide Your Love Forever'.

So that's my pick.
