just got back from dinner/beers w/ the Prince of Darkness, and holy fuck chicago you need to go here. i forgot the name of the burger I had, but involved mozz. cheese, basil, a tomato, and balsmic vinegarette. and a plate full of blue cheese fries. and bottles upon bottles of Fat Tire. phil got a 4 mini burger sampler - a chili burger, bbq burger, and I forget the other two because I was blinded by the awesomeness of everything.

Even I didn't have the stomach to finish that sentence.

We need a Duke's in LA so people quit blowing smoke up In N' Out's ass.

<--- Doesn't know any place to get a really good non-fast food burger in LA

Billy, i hear hamburger hamlet is o.k.

In'n'out is a good fast food burger and nothing more.

Duke's is the big leagues.

Its a national restaurant chain if I'm thinking right. Not saying its a bad burger but its pretty sad if the best burger in a city as large as LA comes from a national chain.

I think LA has better than that but still we're not a town filled with lots of great burger joints.

i think its a west coast thing - only a few really, really good burger joints here.

but there are about 50 vegan restaurants

There's one on Hollywood across the street from the Mann's Chinese Theater and the Kodak Theater. My aunt took me there last year, she claims it's the best burger in Cali, that actually contains meat anyway. The food was pretty good, but can't hold a candle to Duke's.

We just ate and I still kinda wanna go to Duke's right now. I'll shoot for the weekend.
