I got it Monday night, and I like it. I'm reserving more serious judgment for now, though, as I've only had time to listen to it twice so far.

I liked it much more the 2nd time than the 1st, and I'd say that's a good sign.

It's definitely very Sufjan-like, but wierder and more ballsy (doesn't take much, I know).

It is good... it had leaked a few months ago and I forgot about it. Perhaps I should revisit?

I like it a lot. It's definitely different from anything else I've heard lately. "When it comes to you i'm lazy" has made it on to a mix or two.

I think I missed him when he came to Chicago, though.

I'd say yes. Seems like a definite grower.

I'm trying to YSI this now. As usual, I don't know if it's working or not.

PMs sent. Anyone else wants this, let me know.

And as said before, give it some time. My first listen wasn't that impressive, but after my third (this morning), I'm thinking this is a strong contender for my favorite album of the year right now.

I read a lot of good things about this in some magazine. Under The Radar, maybe?

He is/they are one of those bands that releases something like an album a year so I really can't keep up. But I heard good press of the Danielson Famile's first one back whenever that come out.

I want this bad. But I can't get it in Houston. I'll probably get it in Austin this weekend at Waterloo...they always carry Danielson's stuff.

Man I used to hate this band back when I first heard them 11 years ago.

After the first listen:

- his voice sounds a lot like Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse sometimes.
- I can't remember anything else about the album, but i can tell it's gonna be a grower.

I used to like one song off a very old CMJ comp.....probably 97. Religious beliefs turned me off.

Not overly interested.

I HEAR THEY USE A HARMONICA AND AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR AT THE SAME TIME

definitely check it out--he's great--but just understand that it's certainly an acquired taste. the new one may be a more accessible but half the people i play it for think i'm on crack for liking it.

I'd really like to hear this.

I really like the album. How much did Bitchfork give it. I dare not look. i'd give it a 7.5. I love the start of "two sitting ducks".

Ryan Pitchfork totally soiled himself over it. I think they rated it a little high (9+), but I'd give it at least an 8, maybe higher, after 4 listens.

Jeez thats a little high. I was just thinking how strange it is that i really love his voice, as bizarre as it is, yet i cannot stand the guy from the walkmen.
