Yeah---the three martini lunch is a myth. It should be called an afternoon off.

tanq 10 is good... i've got a bottle of bombay (not sapphire) unopened in my kitchen. sapphire gives me headaches.

do you drink em with coctail onions?

Sapphire is the trendy choice nowadays, but I really think the T10 is better, and $7 cheaper. Give it a comparison.

I prefer the olive, but onions aren't bad.

i'm an olive person.
the thing i like about sapphire is that it's pretty creamy. i like the texture but will def checkout the t10.

I've tried many gins, and haven't found anything better than the T10. It's definitely a little fruitier than the Bombay, but I prefer it that way.

Unlike whiskeys, tequilas and some other liquors, there aren't a lot of $50+ gins, at least not that I've found. For the money ($27), Tanqueray 10 is tops.

how old are you woman? this should have happened a long time ago. dirty martinis are a thing of beauty, especially with some old grungy olive juice you find in the back of the fridge with a 1999 expiration date.

The fruitier factor is why I prefer regualr Tanq or Bombay.
If I'm buying, I get Boodles, its the Old Forrester of Gin (i.e. as good or better than the 'name' gins, yet much cheaper)

Good job on this ayah -- just remember, martinis are like tits: 2=good, 3=Not Good...

thanks, senator.
i actually figured that one out on instinct.
after 2 i feel great but i know that 3rd would carrry me over to the deep dark side.

on the gin question: the dryer the better for me but i'm going to at least try the t10.

That's one I've not sampled---good? If I remember, it's near $40.

If it's good, it's worth the money.
