I just saw the video for "F.E.A.R." and loved it so much that I immediately checked my local stores to see if they have the album it's from. I only have the first Stone Roses album, but is Music of the Spheres a good starting point for Ian Brown's solo work, or should I look into one of his other releases first?

As a fan of his solo work, I think F.E.A.R. is his best song.

A lot of his other albums are really uneven.

I think he has a "greatest" solo work album out, no?

I'm leaning towards the "Greatest" compilation, but I have to admit that I'm a bigger fan of albums than compilations.

With that in mind, if you had to choose one solo album, would you say that Music of the Spheres is his best?

I think all of his solo work is awful. Which probably means Borg should run out and buy it all, he'll love it.

i agree...but this is an example of albums in my collection that i can't sell for some reason.

actually i don't think he's awful...just...not so good. having said that, golden greats is his leastnotsogood album.
