Should I recognize these bands?

Though Zip Cose Racists seems familiar...

Just go to a laundrette and load up a couple of machines. I'm sure the aural effect will be much the same and you won't have to lose your manliness.

You should come up for Suoni per il Popolo next month in Montreal:

Sun Ra Arkestra
Bardo Pond
Mouthus
Excepter
Jack Rose
Charlemagne Palestine
and others throughout the month ...

I was actually planning on going to Montreal this summer, but now that you have to get a passport to even drive to Canada is definitely a minus.

And even though that lineup is definitely worth seeing, I don't know if it could beat Borbetomagus, the Boredoms, Flying Luttenbachers, Magik Markers, Yellow Swans, etc. all in one place.

I'd bet you'd probably have to give up your nuts just for listening to those bands.

They're called the Sun Ra Arkestra, and they're lead by Marshall Allen. And I don't give a fuck. I'm completely excited.

You don't need a passport to get into Canada.

Are you positive? I've heard numerous times that this went into effect either last year or 2004.

I've seen the name XBXRX in print once or twice.

Other than that, yeah...

You used to be able to get into Mexico with just a birth certificate, but we had to have passports to get in last year to perform.

Maybe Canada is still enlightened?

Anyhow, if the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra can retain the name, so can the Sun Ra Arkestra.

Boredoms alone would be worht the price of admission

and then you get Yellow Swans, Borbetomagus and all as a bonus

i only recognise half the names on the list though

when we went through north of glacier NP in montana, there was a dude and his girl getting busted for having "traces of heroin" in their car. it was pretty entertaining.

they're pretty hardcore. took us all up to an office and asked 5 million questions. my wife and i had passports, but our friends got through with birth certificates.

coming back in through eastern washington was a piece of cake though. didn't even have to get out of the car.

Weird shit. I've crossed the border hundreds of times and have only once been hassled.
