how common is this?
i did for the first time in my life this year, and after living alone for 7 years prior to the relationship it feels weird to live alone again.

acutally, it feels really natural to live alone again, but i miss it.

I have never lived alone, always had roommates. Now live with the only guy I have ever lived with.

But I may be living alone in the Fall which will be weird.

Never lived alone. Always had roommates until I got married, and that was the first time I lived with a woman. I'm old fashioned like that.

I have only lived alone for seven months, not counting having a single room at college. The only girlfriend I have lived with is the current one, and we have lived together for about 16 months.

Lived with 2.

There are plenty of plusses and minuses to both lifestyles. Space is necessary.

Living alone was AWESOME, and pretty much the only thing about being single that i miss. or remember.

i agree with this. did it for the 2 years preceding moving in with the future she-stone, then we married 3 years later.

everyone should live alone at some point before getting hitched.

Lived alone for 5 or 6 years. Really loved it but decide I should "reintegrate" heh heh.

Lived with 2 roommates for a year. Then this past year I moved in with my bf, and also with two roommates (his old roomie and one of my old roomies, both of whom are very good friends of ours). Make sense?

It might sound weird, but it's actually a really nice arrangement. Toronto is expensive so it's really best to rent a whole house. That way there's more space for common areas--big kitchen, etc. We have a huge place. My bf and I each have an office space and then we have our bedroom. It's really nice. Some might think it's unromantic but I actually found it to be a nice transition... not as much pressure. I guess part of why it works too is that we're all pretty quiet yet friendly people, and also all "creative types".

The other explanation, of course, is just that I'm pioneernig the idea of the male harem.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the accepted term for that is "gang bang".

I moved in with my ex about four months after we started dating. After we divorced (six years later), I moved in with a platonic roommate that I found online. I think I'd like to live alone someday.

Lived with someone for two years in my early 20's. That sucked.

Then of course when I married my ex husband.

And Josh and I moved in with each other a few months before our wedding.

Between my ex and Josh I never lived alone per se because Charlie was always with me. hehe

me too. i don't believe in doing that. maybe things will change later but right now, hell no.

and oh man, i MISS living alone. going back to having roommates after living solo for 2 1/2 years is rough. i'm already about to kill one of my roommates and i've barely been at this new place for 3 weeks.

Do you mean "at a time"?

Had to fill out the census recently. Had to state the relationship between members of the household. Felt very tempted to put various people of various genders down as having various "relationships". Heh heh.
