I had just come out of a great interview for a job I wanted, and was eating a sandwich in the park. All of a sudden, big disgusting mess on my sleeve.

This happened to my daughter a few years ago, and she freaked. We calmed her down by explaining what good luck it is. Wouldn't you know it, a few hours later I get the job offer, and it's much better than I had even hoped. So I guess maybe it IS good luck to be shit on (by a bird, I mean).

a bird shit on my hat at the 1993 world series and the only thing remotely close to good luck was that my parents let me stay home from school the next day. and then my stepmother's father died, so that wasn't very good at all.

i have an interview this afternoon, but i won't be leaving the building, so i don't think i'll have the chance for any good luck to rain down upon me.

anyway, congratulations on the job.

A bird shit on me at an outdoor concert that I was attending with my boyfriend. This was probably 1998 or 1999 when I was out to impress people. Big white stripe of shit down the back of my shirt. I ended up marrying the dude I was there with. Pretty meh luck, I'd say.

When I was a kid, my mom was sunbathing on the beach while wearing a bikini. A pelican flew over her and crapped right on her bare stomach. That f'ing bird must've let a pint of shit loose because it was everywhere. No luck there... it just ruined her bathing suit and made her really bitchy for the afternoon.

I have a bird. I think I'll start charging people to sit in a room with him for a while.

Finally, I can put that little deadbeat to work!

Congrats on the job offer, too.

That happened to me once when I was younger, visiting my aunt in Boston. Shat right on my shoulder, and in my clam chowder soup.

1996, Athens, GA, 2nd Junior year, I'm walking downtown with a hat on. I walk under an overhanging store sign, pigeon drops a load on me and it lands on the bill of my hat. Bill saves me from bird dung hitting me in the face.

Coincidentally, the hat was a UGA hat. More proof that UGA is the greatest school ever and can do anything, even protect me from bird poo.

Fucking pigeons. Rats with wings.

back in college i was walking to class one morning after a big rain. I walked underneath a tree and got dripped by raindrops from the leaves, just some on my arms and shoulders, but I felt a BIG raindrop splatter right on top of my head. I didn't think much of it until I got a bit further and ran my hand thru my hair to dry my head off. took my hand away, saw that it was black and white, turned around and walked home to shower and scour my scalp.

few things in life are more humbling than a bird shitting on your head.

I've been crapped on a few times by birds. I don't recall it hitting my clothes. I think it has mostly hit my backpack or my bare arm.

Its good luck alone that it shit on you on the way out of the interview rather than on the way in.

Agreed. The worst part is that there is no retribution for the crime just committed.

Sweet, bird over here is slang for a girlfriend though.

Although the neighbours were looking after a Gala(sp), nice bird.

This reminds me of a joke:

How can you tell when pink flamingoes move in next door?

There's a bunch of plastic Mexicans on the front lawn!

Having worked downtown, Derris, I saw too many birdshittings to count in 6 years. Never got one m'self, though.
