so how many of the obner faithful partake in the occasional cigar? What is your favorite brand? how often do you smoke? do you remember your first cigar? Does one cigar stick out in your memory more than others? Have you ever had a cuban cigar?

I am partial to H. Upham. Lately I been smoking about one or two a week, but before I got deployed I'd smoke 8-10 all year. My first cigar was at a freind's wedding back in 1995. The best cigar I ever had was in Quebec City, during 1996. It was a Montecristo #2. Me and my soon to be father-in-law were on a beer crawl on a very cold winter night. Everybody else stayed in that night, but we went out. After several stops we decided to head back to the hotel where we were staying, but made one last stop to get another beer before closing time. The bar was almost empty and closing in 40 minutes. We were chatting with the bartender. He had just gotten back from a vacation in Havanna. He was smoking a cigar and offer us one. It was my first Cuban cigar and it lived up to it reputation. I've had other cuban's since then but none have match that one.

Smoke one or two a year around Christmas time and enjoy it. Don't know brands, though.

My faves are the Robusto Rejects. Less than two bucks each, they truly satisfy.

I'll smoke a couple a month. The last one I smoked a couple of nights ago, I burned down to my fingers. Just couldn't stop. The 43 beers didn't help, either.

A while back, Macanudo had a bus come into town. You buy a Macanudo and this entitled you to get on the bus with other smokers and ogle the Mac girls. Dumbest thing I ever saw. Pretty funny to see all the smoke coming out of the ventilation pipes, though.

When I wake up the next morning I have to contemplate as to whether I smoked a cigar or ate ten pounds of pure shit the night before.

as you get older you'll eat more shit and more often and you won't have to wonder as much.

I have had a cuban MC and a Dominican (can't remember the brand) and to me they were exactly the same. Dominicans are sweet sweet cigars. However, I don't smoke them hardly at all. Maybe one or two every couple of years.

I am a pipe man myself.

I usually smoke one or two a year when Im visiting with my dad and brother- brands vary but I like a light to medium light cigar.

I have a box of Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleurs in my desk-a present from my brother upon my girls' birth. Damn shame I dont smoke more.

I dig on cigars, not enough to buy a humidor or anything like that. If I'm in the mood I'll go pick up a couple, but it's been about a year. I'm usually itching for one when the weather gets nice.

I like and have had most of the previously mentioned stogies. Anyone dig on Avo cigars? I like their Maduro No. 7.

I tried to like cigars, but just ended up with a nasty taste in my mouth for hours afterward.
Yuck.

Bump.

Anyone wanna recommend anything since 2006? Been a while since I've had any, but with the new yard and nice weather I bought a couple on recommendation of the shop owner--and Arturo Fuente (good--held light, not overpowering, long ash) and a Diamond Crown Julius Ceasar (ok--took awhile to get lit properly, meh wrap, not overpowering, held ash, had to relight 3/4 through).
