Oh, and why do the Others want Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley but not Locke, who was supposedly the one that Henry was sent to get in the first place? I could see them wanting the first three because they're young, healthy and fit. But Hurley? The only reason they could want him would be in connection to the numbers.

Am I hallucinating, or did Henry tell Locke that he was "good" and that he had nothing to fear? I'm thinking the Others are interested in the four because there's something "wrong" with their character.

The Others go after those that are "good" (kids from the tail section, Eko and now Locke). They don't bother with the "bad" people usually. Henry said he was coming for Locke when he was captured and that is why he didn't kill him when Locke was trapped under the steel blast door.

So they're not going after Kate, Jack, Sawyer, and Hurley but they are requesting that they be brought to them. Does that make them good or bad?

I think they have other plans for those four - perhaps a trap, like Sayid told Jack.

It would make sense that it was Desmond's boat, since he's supposed to appear in the finale. But if it was, why wouldn't he be long gone by now?

You can't escape the island.

The first time I made the connection between the boat and Desmond, though, I was thinking there was some sort of time lapse involved, but that's just silly.

It seemed that these four were threats that needed to be taken care of. Thinking about it, though, it doesn't make sense. Hurly hasn't been seen as a threat to anyone (except Sawyer), and Kate is pretty useless on her own.

They don't need to get Locke. He'll come to them when he's ready.

Exactly. Sayid's more of a threat than Kate or Hurley. He tortured one of their men. And Ana-Lucia killed two. When they sent Michael off, she was still alive.

On the one hand the fact the Losties don't share crucial information with each other is weird. On the other hand the main characters are damaged people in perpetual shock mode, and they're terrible at communicating anyway.

I bet some of the background red shirts talk about what freaks the top Losties are a lot.

Has anyone been paying attention all along to the night/day issues in the show? Another instance happened last night - when Walt is brought into the hut that Michael is in, it's clearly daytime outside when the door opens. When he leaves, it's pitch black outside. This happened the last two weeks too - Hurley and Libby are off for their picnic, clearly in broad daylight, she gets killed, and when the next ep. begins, Jack, Kate, et al., are making their way to the hatch in the night time - and the incident couldn't have taken place too much before that, at least not enough time for it to go from mid-day to night time.

Michael saw Walt three days before the episode took place. What was happening three days before? Is that when they found the parachute and it was raining? It gets pretty dark when it rains.

I must rescind my question - I saw that part of the show again and it simply looks like light is coming under the door - apparently there's some ultra-powerful moonlight on this island. Once the door opens to allow Walt in, it's clear that it's night outside.

I've seen way too many spoilers.. if half of them are correct, you want to record this episode even if you're seeing it when broadcast. boats, buttons, desmond, monsters, hatches, and all kinds of action shows up. Including "how the airplane crashed" in the first place.

So record it if you're into the show. I'm fired up for the season 2 climax, sad that it's ending for the season.... spoilers I've seen sounds like this should be a mindfuck.

the podcast revealed some stuff, but nothing so crazy as everything else that's floating around out there.

It was interesting to find out that the first season was filmed in the Xerox building where an ex-employee shot seven people in 1999 though. Interesting and sad.

I'm hoping to god this is a frogurt episode.
