I guess I don't see anything particularly showy about calling your band 'Franz Ferdinand'. It's the name of a 20th century historical figure. It's fairly innocuous and the music isn't overly dramatic either. As a band name, Radiohead isn't that ostentatious either, but then you put on the music.
