Three questions:

1. How often?

2. How much?

3. What do you have them do?

I don't have one, but I am going to pre-empt the perverse jokes that are going to come from question #3. Dudes, it's too obvious. Don't do it.

I've got a fiance for that Hegel. Its the more mundane shit that she doesnt do and that I am tired of/ dont feel like doing that is prompting the maid.

My wife.
It's what wives are for.

Funny, I've heard wives call their maids "husbands".

I don't have a maid, but do have a housekeeper who comes in once every two weeks.

Oh and administer my AZT doses.

When I was in my East London flat, a friend of mine got state support for outpatient rehab but couldn't take a job. To get extra money, she would clean/iron for me at £10/hour cash. She was normally at the flat 3 hours per cleaning (deep clean whole flat: scrub, vaccum, dust, et al), two cleanings a month. I totally miss it.

1. Every week.

2. I can't remember, but I think it's about $90/week (which is quite a bit, but it's three women who spend a couple hours each week cleaning).

3. Clean the entire house (but no window cleaning, dishes or laundry) = vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning the bathrooms including cleaning the floors, dusting, cleaning the kitchen, and general straightening.

I don't understand mild, compliant women who let the spouse be a useless sloth. I'd never have married a women who behaved like a doormat. Buck up, Jeannie, kick his ass.

I had the cleaning woman from work come in and clean once for us. It was the week my in laws hit town, about a month ago.

I can't bend down anymore. And cleaning products make me a little nauseous.

We're having her come back and clean in the next couple weeks or so. And then once more the week the baby is due.

This way the house is clean when we come home.

We have a two bdrm condo that's a decent size and she charged 50 bucks. She did an awesome job.

man, part of enjoying our home is cleaning it every week together with my wife.

tunes cranked up, spilling back some good wine, and a spotless home. i can't imagine not doing it. i also can't imagine letting someone else do it.

I love threads like this. I mostly eat a lot of ramen.

Todd, a surface will not have condensation on it if the air in contact with it has a dewpoint lower than the surface temperature. Just a helpful hint.

I forgot to add that I pay her $50 and she dusts, mops, vacuums, takes out the trash, washes the dishes (if any are in the sink), general tidying. She also waters the yard, feeds and plays with my dogs.
