I drank scotch literally for 8 hours last night, and I feel totally on the level this morning.

I know what that's like. You're still drunk.

I had a rehersal dinner last night. Open bar. Had 5-6 johnnies black. Then 4 beers after at a bar near by. Came in early so I can enjoy the wedding tonight. I feel pretty good but a little tired.

And for some reason I come up with good threads while drunk but forget them the next day.

I was just looking at a bottle of that when I was in the boozer. I'm trying to pick out a real nice single malt for my dad as a combo Father's Day/B-Day present.

what type of scotch does he like? islay? Do you know what he drinks now? How much do you want to spend?

I'm going to a rehearsal dinner tonight. I don't know how much time I'll get to drink tonight, but tomorrow I plan on drinking like a champ. There's going to be a trolley to take us back from the reception hall, so neither my girlfriend nor I have to drive. I might have to cutback a little since I am escorting her mother to the wedding, since my girlfriend is in the wedding party.

Either way, I'm hoping for a free keg or a pour your own bar. That's what makes small town weddings great.

had a home-brewed stout from my neighbor last night, then a belt of Glenlivet. I've got some other scotch at home, but I'm gonna spend my evening trying to find a bottle of Vat 69, which apparently the PA liquor Control Board refuses to sell...

ha, with all the scotch talk, thought I'd toss this in there... I get an email from a cycling organization and I'm not sure if you knew, but this week was "Bike to Work" week. Here's motivation from one of the contributors:

"Spring has sprung, it's Bike-to-Work Week, and gas costs more than scotch. How much extra motivation do you need to start bike commuting?"

and I will finish with a bottle of Golden Gate Vintner's Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dude - I can attest that these are both decent bottles of wine, but can you really Monger while drinking a pink bottle of wine?? ;)

Yes, most definitely...and I WILL be trying the shot of espresso in a pint thing ASAP....

Last nite I had to 2 Shiner Bocks and fell the fook out.

I cooked dinner (garlic, onion, jalapeño, mushroom, bok choy, snow peas, tofu, and bean sprout stir fry with a soy sauce-vinegar-ginger marinade on brown rice) and polished off a sixer of Real Ale Brewing Company's Rio Blanco Pale Ale while watching a couple of episodes of Carnivale on DVD with a purty young thang. All in all: QUAL.

Tonight, I have no idea.

Are you going to mix the Jameson with the ginger ale and limes?
That's seems blasphemous to me, but it might taste really good. In my mind you can only mix Irish whiskey with Guinness, coffee or Irish cream Liqueur.

dude it tastes REALLY good... i'm not a big fan of the irish cream liquer... too sweet for me. i get the lime just for good measure.

last night i had a bottle of sake @ dinner, 4 glasses of jameson/ginger ale and an amstel light to top it off. i'm feeling quite peachy today.

tonight continue on with the madness since you know, alcohol got me in this mess and alcohol will get me out.

I don't want to know anything - I've only watched episodes 1-4 so far, and this show seems QUAL.

Oh shit, right, I forgot about that. Since Lost was my ex-wife and my shared show, I quit watching after she left - I'll just need to pick up season 2 when it comes out on DVD and catch up.

The old Chuck and Buck suck and fuck. You guys are thinking of Mike White, who is definitely NOT Henry Gale.

No way?! That's fucking awesome because I was supremely pissed when I found out it got canned. S2 is out on dvd this July, I think. That was one of the best seasons of practically any show, every episode played like a season finale.
