I shall be gone for the week and expect to be missed. The women wailing and weeping, the men quivering and biting their lip.

Going hiking and walking the length of the Western Highlands. Expect to get to Fort William in 7 to 8 days (it's about 100 miles), ragged and near death.

The weather forecast is shit (high winds, rain, hail, snow at higher altitudes, sub zero temperatures etc) and my rucksack is way to heavy with only the barest of essentials in it but hypothermia and chronic back pain are but a paltry price to pay for natures majesty. Um....maybe...

Hey, if the sun defies predictions and makes an appearance it might even be fun.

I'm out of here first thing tomorrow morning. See ya.

Well, since I've actually hiked some of the Highlands, I'll be the one who finds your bones. Have an incredible time, Darrin!

Ya know, last year at this time, I was in Scotland and had absolutely gorgeous weather in the Highlands. Here's hoping things change for the better while you're there.
