We think that means that M.I.A. was supposed to begin recording here with producer Timbaland, but immigration problems prevented her from entering the country. So she's stationed elsewhere, working on her second album, listening to Akon, and drinking beer with her turtle.
Various sources report that her lawyers are on the case, but for now, that's all we know. So we're just going to sit here and listen to Timbaland and Nelly Furtado's bananas ridonkulous "Promiscuous Girl" over and over again in protest until our government wises up and lets M.I.A. in.
