Is there a way to convert these into mp3 files?

There's no video, though. It's just the way she recorded that they came out as .mpegs instead of .mp3s.

I haven't a clue. All I know is that they have the .mpeg extension but they're just audio.

Okay, I just spent close to an hour looking over downloads.com and I must have downloaded, tried, failed, and deleted over half a dozen programs to no avail.

I found a bunch that claimed they could do this but didn't.

If you have a video editing program on yr computer, you should be able to export the audio into either a wav or mp3.

That's a negative.

Outside of normal everyday activities, I'm not that skilled at computer stuff. And she's even less. She wasn't sure what format her songs were in until she sent them to me. She just recorded them straight into her computer, I guess.

did you try simply renaming the file extension to mp3?
If it's just audio, it might work, or try wav and then convert it to mp3.
