You're a grownup.
You can have ice cream whenever you want.
Not many perks, but that is a nice one.

It's kind of fun to hear these things the first two or three times. When they come by every five hours for two weeks, including 7 a.m. on a Sunday, I've had enough.

I'm 21 and I'm broke.

I had to suffice with a freezie.

Last year the truck used to go past my son's after-school program.

We discovered he'd been hoarding his lunch money(we're still trying to figure out how he managed to get lunch each day) and using it to buy ice cream after school.

Very sneaky little kid. Very sneaky.

I know it's not, but for some reason, that sounded kinky, and I had to read it a few times.

You should be proud. Just tell him that his only mistake was getting caught.

We don't have ice cream trucks here, but if we did, I'd be getting free ice cream. Rest assured.

The ice cream truck back in San Jose where I lived meant drug delivery.

What the hell kind of kid is up at 7am on a Sunday morning?? Does that ice cream truck driver really think he's going to be getting business that early? Or is he delivering some other sort of ice? No trucks yet this season, and I can't remember if I saw any last year. I know a guy who runs one of these businesses in Ohio though. He always complained about the drivers being unreliable and sketchy...

Another perk of being a grown up is you can push your way to the front of the line when at the ice cream truck.

Speaking of which, there was a guy at my high school who had one of the chimes installed in his pickup, and would go around neighborhoods playing it.

Yeah...
