The only thing I don't like about TiVOs right now, and its not even the machine, its the networks, is that they are being more savvy with start times on shows. I've noticed many get bumped a few minutes prior to actual start times just to throw off users.

Yeah, if you're recording something it often cuts off during previews of the following week's show. That was annoying.

I can't tell you how often I screamed at it for cutting off previews of Prison Break or GG's(two of the shows we always Tivo'd).

We always set shows to record at least two minutes before and after because of that now.

Tivo has the benefit of programming over the web, but our cable company's DVR has two tuners, which means we can either watch one thing and record another or record two things at the same time. While I'd like to be able to program something from work, I think having two tuners is WAY more useful, especially lately since EVERYTHING seems to be on the same two damned nights of the week. TV networks, have you realized yet that there are other nights besides Tuesday and Wednesday? Oh, yeah, you just found Thursday again, didn't you? That still leaves four dead nights of TV!

Sundays are big nights of tv, at least for what I watch. Mondays were pretty big with Prison Break and 24. I'm a Sunday-Thursday primetime tv watcher.

Do you find yourself reaching for the tivo remote at other people's homes?

I've also started reaching for the remote during movies. I'm like, "What the hell did he say?" and of course... no remote. Life should be tivo-able.

I've often wished I could do this with my radio too.

It also stars the lovely Kate Beckinsale.

When we first got Tivo, I stopped listening to everything, thinking I could rewind.

It is the greatest invention ever made. I love pausing footbll games when the kids need attention. then I can fast forward thru commercials to get back up to real time. this way i don't mis any action, and still don't really feel like I am watching a taped sporting event becausse I don't know the outcome.

I don't even have cable at home. But I do have a DVD burner and full cable in my office at work, where I can record any interesting shows for viewing later at home.

Didn't John Ritter already make this movie?
