This is as close as I found http://www.wecyclect.org/

But I will have to look into it.. again, it really depends.. odds are we will be living a bit aways from work .. and rural biking is different from city...

dig it. I took a look, do they sell recycled bikes?

I dig the commute. Although I nearly got hit by a street sweeper today who decided to change lanes without signaling.

I dont know, I have to look into it more.. Id easily buy a recycled bike.. but a good one- I dont care what it looks like, just how it rides. Now Im excited again about biking..

Yeah, you pretty much realize you will be hit at least once if you commute for any period of time- question is, how badly

3 times, last was the worst, sandwiched between a pt cruiser and a parked car. haven't been since nov, and hasn't stopped me yet. I was a little scraped up, bruised, nothing broken, but they sent me home from work for being dizzy/woozy. It passed.

Admittedly, i have worse luck than most.

I know alot more than when I started, i asked a ton of questions from anyone who would answer.

I'm sure Finch Platte, Dnorwood, and Flying Rabbit know more, but I'll always chime in if i feel like i can offer some experience based perspective.

I miss the days when Haro's were whoopass bmx bikes.

Don't leave it out in the rain, Robotboy. Those are bottom-shelf components (perfect for a beater-commuter) and they'll rust out quicker than you'd believe. Otherwise, spot-on for the purpose.

I've been commuting for decades now, and have only been hit 2x. Once was a love tap (young lady got flustered and barely tapped my rear tire), and the other was totally my fault.

I've been verrrry lucky, and give kudos to the car/bus drivers in this town (275,000 pop.).

Here's my commuter. The 2.5" tires and 5" travel (front & rear) sure helps with the potholes.

Glad there are so many cyclists here!

to preface this, around july last year I had a $1200 bike stolen out of my garage. so, i'm not making that mistake again. and there's no reason for me to ride a $1200 bike through the city. but man, that was a sweet ass bike. that fucker(s)

That's a full suspension mountain bike.

Find a shop that'll let you test a few out, then figure out what you lean towards.

Of course, no matter what you get, as you ride it for any length of time, you adapt and then, it's your bike.

Just like when you buy a new car and you gotta get used to the way it drives, brakes, corneres etc, or when you move into a new apartment, you gotta get adjusted to the new crapper...

Weber Ranch Kettle, 37.5 inches in diameter, 1104 square inches of grilling surface, i dream about it.

I even posted a thread here a couple years ago when I started my obsession, but i couldn't find it.

ok yeah then that was the thread in which I realized we shared drooling over grills. Food & Wine ran a 'favorite 7 grills' article
here for your edification

I really like the BBQ Texas grill (the non-ss version).. anyhow, this is a bike thread.. sorry lol
