Just a tip for when you send the story in to Penthouse: use the word "panties" instead of "underwear".

Lately I feel inexplicably drawn to Oregon; the ocean coast, and the cute little hippie towns nestled in lush green forests.

(I visit once years ago and really loved Eugene. I remember a great record store there too. ) :wink:

Shit, last time I went to the Getty, I got royally fucked up on booze and made out in the parking lot. Sounds like I may have to relive the experience...well, at least, the booze part.

not sure. it depends on what time dude gets off work (and hopefully doesn't flake). he works in hollywood, i live in west la, so depending on how long it takes to get to the getty.

Tomorrow: The existentialist drama that is Waiting for BG&E ... they promise to arrive 'between eight and four'.
Be nice to pals with grown-up sized cars and fully functioning thumbs (I am still excluded from both groups) as they help me move some stuff. Dinner with some of these.

Sunday: more moving. Sailing. Boogie 'til dawn.

Monday: more moving. Drink. Make plan for neglected work.

Tuesday: Waiting for appliances, thumb PT.

So far I am free of buyers remorse. The mortgage minus the tax deduction is less than my rent, for a better neighborhood closer to work, so it seems unlikely to go too too wrong. Only adventure is the appearance of three old, ugle, but functional chairs in my garage between the walkthrough and today. It doesn't lock properly (which I knew), and I hadn't gotten onto the padlock thing as I had nothing there. Not so keen on multipurposing as a shooting gallery or whatever, though, so I did get on it. Home Depot, I think we're going to be friends.

Yeah, you will be.

I'd also suggest becoming friendly with a neighborhood hardware store. Those people can be super helpful, especially for helping you with little questions you might have and are also usually a good resource for suggesting reputable local contractors should you need something fixed.
