A drunk front blew throgh here last night and left my destruction in its wake. Everyone else feels strangely fine, but I haven't had one this bad in a few years. I think I need to take some Tylenol PM or something and just go to sleep.

FUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!

We sat out by the pool and drank an 18 pack and a 12 pack, then my dad came home and ordered up a fine feast of hot wings and the like...drank probably 5-6 pitchers of Harp...At some point, Derris made the switch to Bourbon, and convinced me to come with him.

I was asleep by 2, and up at like 9, have been swimming and had a shower, threw up, shaved, etc, but I can barely hold my head up. If I was at home I could just Mon G. Er, but down here, folks wanna talk and do shit.

Also, I suggest having about three stiff drinks and then retiring to either the mongering house or the pool house for a nap.

Screw your guests.

Yeah it took me a little while to get outta the funk this morning but I'm cool now. Just doing some shit around the house sweating my ass off. Thinking about taking the dog out to the lake for a while. I'm tired of her staring at me panting. Guess I'll have to stop at the liqour store and grab a couple 6ers on the way too.

Jesus, I'm still full from last night. All that eating interfered with my drinking, so there's still some Rossi left and I've got Live at the Fillmore on to keep me going.

Loogs, I swear I can smell the liquor wafting through that post. Of the most shitfaced I've ever been, it's ALWAYS when I've been drinking beer all day with my buddy Ian, and then we decide to switch it up and head to bourbon country. The next thing I know, there's three houses burning on my block and I can't find my car.

No, Irish fucking Whiskey...this feels about like that day, dude, and I don't say things like that lightly.

We are mobilizing to get outta here. Gonna take it on back to the house, and get right.

Last night was the Liquid Soul cd release. I got a fly new Kangol for the occasion, and was dressed to the nines. Deena got there after work, so by the time she saw me I was already a little (read completely) smashed. I was double fisting Old Style tall boys, I had at least 12 of those and 4 or 5 Heinekens. I also ate all of someone's leftover Jambalaya from downstairs. They probably would have forgotten about it after the show anyways. Deena was totally disgusted with me. I was upset about the whole situation, and I think rightly so. I'm not a charity case, I'm a better player than that kid (I was gonna call him a fucker, but i actually like the kid, it's the band leader that's a fucker), and it should have been my night.

Then I puked for about seven minutes straight. I don't know how I got to the men's room, or what shred of forethought that made me take off my black velvet jacket and leave it in the green room, but I'm glad, cause that would have been hell to clean. Also, I think black velvet doesn't hide old style/heineken/jambalay vomit too well especially under stage lights.

Then I felt remarkably better. Then I went and played one song for the encore. That's all. Well, that and i kicked serious ass, but with the amount of my life I've lost to practicing, I ought to have. And I had to sit there and listen to the kid not play a single line correctly. If i'd have pulled what he did, I would have gotten reamed on stage. Shit, I've been burned with flicked cigarettes for less. So how come he gets treated like a musician, and i got treated like a bitch for two years? Now I'm mad all over again, just typing.

Coffee is helping, but i think a bloody mary is in order. What do you think?

And I was finally able to choke down some food, Arby Beef and Chedda, which was meh, but the Jamocha shake set me right.

Oh, and Band of Brothers is on...it's D-Day...everyone go out and hug a veteran.

Yeah I love the hat. I'm a hat whore. I care what they think, but I care more about what I think about myself. The only way I'm gonna shut them up (and myself for that matter) is to fucking make it. No holds barred, make it.

And you should totally get a black velvet jacket. Mine's DKNY, love the cut. But the thing that sold me on it was the wine red satin lining. Wore it with black slacks, a blue breakwater shirt Deena bought me that matched the hat band, and some black dress shoes. I was killin it.

That's fucking solid, dude. And I know ayah would approve.

Red Satin lining? FUCK ME...my problem is that fashion clothes makers don't deal with Otto the Tent Maker, so sometimes its pretty hard to find stuff that I can pimp, that fits...even Tommy Hil, in the more fashion minded lines, which are awesome, makes shit for them little.

That's one of the reasons that I dress so fucking conservatively.

YEah we're gonna hit this class mex joint tonite, and get a few Margs..they make em with fresh squeezed juice, and they slay...one pitcher of those, a little nosh and I will be ready to slip into a fine coma.

I have that feeling like me skin is trying turn inside out still, but other than that I think (and wish and hope and pray) that the worst is over.

Had to do the big spit this morning at one point, but I think the drive home, which gave me something to focus on, really helped. That plus Bloor's FB mix and a gang of Milo's Sweet Tea.

Man, margaritas and mex sounds so good right now.

And I can't imagine how hard it is to find clothes your size. That's why I like hats, watches and shoes, it's shit that i can rock without feeling like a fat ass.

I used to wear hats a lot, but my hair is too nice to cover; I'm like Lon Chaney, Jr. at Trader Vic's ;)

I need a new dress watch, or at least a band and battery for the one I have. And I am hoping that FEMGAR can afford to get me a Tag Heuer for our wedding gift to each other.

Shoes are awesome as well. I have a pair of Italian leather black cap toes and a fine pair of Johnston and Murphy brown saddle shoes...but I need probably 1 and maybe even 2 alternates in the same color.

I don't have the hugest feet, so its not hard to find things that fit. The worst is Tee Shirts, so hard to fine xtra long ones that won't come untucked when I move.

Jos Bank does a damn fine job of keeping the Big sizes stocked, so I pretty much look like a catalogue picture most work days.

Tags are great.

For something different, check out http://www.fathertimeantiques.com/

antique watch dealer in chicago. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

I've wanted a pre WWII Girard Perregaux Seahawk for a while now. You just see one in person and you either "get it" or you don't. Same with vintage cars or guitars.

Tags are ludicrous expensive. I've got a Swiss Army watch that runs about $300, I can't justify spending more'n that on a timepiece.

I've got two wicked pair of Johnston & Murphy--straight black lace-up wingtips, and burgundy kilted tassel loafters. Best shoes on the planet.

Amen on the cars.

Damn, those are crazy, thanks for the link.

Neither my dad or either of my grandfathers were into watches, so I have some old Zippos, but no classic time pieces.

I would have trouble dropping a ton of money on a watch, but damn I want a nice one.

And yeah on the Johnston and Murphy's, I really want a pair of suede saddle shoes.

And Loog, get an oversize watch, 42mm minimum, 46 would look better. A watch shouldn't look like a toy, dig?
