Good to know I guess, but how newsworthy is it (unless this an Ableton Live press release in disguise)?
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/30052006/325/z ... -tour.html

I remember when Aural, KonstantinL, and I saw Ritchie Hawtin he had at least two laptops in his rig. Has anyone here used the software in question or know anything about it?

How is the new album anyway? I know When It Falls disappointed a lot of us, but I liked a few of its songs quite a bit.

First off, i'm really enjoying the new album. lotsa different tempo changes, and the vocals are fantastic, especially from sir Jose Gonzalez.

Ableton has incredible capabilities. Remix tracks on the fly, add in fx and samples on the fly, pitch shift, and pretty much rework an entire tune right there, live. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Daft Punk are using it for their tour, 'cause that's exactly what they did. I'm all for producers and dj's using it, because it's just another branch of creativity for them, meaning the experience you get can be different from any other.

yeah, ableton is awesome. it's ridiculously stable even on older computers and can do just about anything without skipping a beat. the coolest feature is being able to correct a beat in real time--with a couple of clicks you can make a lazy loop sync up with everything else. i highly recommend downloadingit.
