without going into too many details, over the past two weeks i irrationally ended a 6-year relationship with my boyfriend, decided not to move to the seattle-ish area (after planning to move since july 05) and fell for someone that i cannot have. i got a new apt in chgo and moved into it in less than a week. i am now in my new place and have become a chain smoker after not smoking for years (ew). life can be messy.

the only songs that have provided comfort are spoon's everything hits at once and i summon you. i need to hear something to feel immediately better whether uplifting or depressing.

pm me or recommend songs please, please

This song makes me happy. It's a fun little tune. I am really enjoying this band, thanks to Timis. If you want the rest of the album let me know.

Where's chgo?

Anyhow, if you just need irrational smiles, it's hard to go wrong with the moog cookbook. Nothing like covers done with a moog to make you go wtf in a good way.

I second this. Great recommendation. This album, along with The Wrens - Meadowlands got me through my break up with my gf of 4 years last October. And don't worry, give it a month or two and you will feel better than you ever have in your life... at least I did. Although, I did party for the first 2 months after the break up pretty much 5 outa 7 days of the week. Friends (booze included) really help heal a break up.
