I like both of those.

It's false advertising though since Architecture In Helsinki are Australian and Holiday don't make me feel like I am on one.

I saw Architecture play last Saturday and they were awesome. Amazing live show and incredible energy. I recommend.

My introduction was seeing them open for Death Cab for Cutie in 2004 and they sucked me in.

Haha. I heard that "Dani California" for the first time on the radio today.
It's so bad RHCP should kill themselves for recording it. I didn't think it was possible for them to get any worse.

dude.

there are worse things to rip on than the chili peppers.

listen to "snow" or "21st century" or "desecration smile" or any number of tracks on that album.

they don't do anything innovative or cool, they just write solid songs.

and don't tell me that john frusciante is getting worse because that's just false.

this indier-than-thou bullshit needs to stop. it's not worth hating on the chili peppers.

How can you possibly like Dani California?

RHCP's last good album was Blood Sugar Sex Magic, after that they were on their way to crappy surfer dude arena rock tunes that can be played on the radio for the mindless masses.

Seriously, it pains me to hear new RHCP. Do yourself a favor and listen to Mother's Milk. It bristles with energy and ideas. You can't compare that to what they're doing now. And dude, I'm not doing that indie-rock stance thing. It's just a solid fact that they really suck and probably will for the rest of their careers.

dude.

don't talk like that to me.

my favorite of their albums is "Freaky Styley"

that doesn't mean that some songs on Stadium Arcadium aren't good.

overall it's a bad album.

but john frusciante is an interesting enough guitar player that it is worthwhile to listen to

listen to kiedis's melodies and vocal hooks in the refrain.

i know how good mother's milk is and i'm not trying to compare stadium arcadium to any of their hillel output because it's not even close.

i'm just saying that it's not shit and you should lay off one of the best american bands of all time.

Agreed. End of story. I don't care if Frucante is doing his favorite Hendrix impression here, the songs suck.

Bwahahaha you totally contradict yourself. Man, you really need to hear more music.

...and by that I don't mean more Radiohead.

Come on now. Give us a break. Please tell me you don't really believe that. I take it you really, really love the band, but one of the best? In the WHOLE world? The entire world? Including all the metal and jazz guitarists that could wrap him up in a stick of gum, chew him up, and shit him out like nothing more than a little squirt of grease from last night's fried chicken?
