It's a small, secret raise, meaning the owner of the company doesn't know about it, but the vice president okayed it.

This is what complaining to your superior does, folks!

Oh, and, like, hard work and stuff too. I totally deserve it.

Basically, it's cool because when the owner of the company does review me again for a "real" raise (and I get it, of course), it'll be bumped up from a higher point than it would have been. Or something like that.

Either way, duuuude.

congrats. my raise was pretty average this year...my bonuses and stock would normally be nice but my company is stinking this year.

i just got another new job paying 50 cents more than my present job, and giving me much better hours. they'll give me up to 40 hours per week, and if i work nights i get out at 9 pm sharp so i can still go out and have fun.

oh yeah, and they don't open until 9 so i can actually sleep a little.

I no longer have two days off in a row for a while, which really sucks, but there's the little raise and an actual, for real weekend day off here and there.
