do you work in a cube? Do you like the way deaf people talk? how about a guinea pig in a bondage costume, and could you empathize with the repulsion that our narrator feels? I was stuck on a runway last night for a few hours (Thanks Philly! Thanks for NOTHING) and was able to finish this book, and while it's not high-caliber literature, it was pretty funny and a quick read, and some people die in it and there's some fucking and some gross stuff, and the main character's sole asset is his inability to care about anything. and his other sole asset is an ability to sleep on toilets. at work. huzzah!

basically, a good summer read. especially if you're not in your office and are sucking down mai-tai's by a pool or some immigrants or something.

Just for that "crack", I'm gonna read this. If it involves apathy, suicide, depression, being cynical and pessimistic, then it's for me.

The premise kinda reminds me of Happiness - A Novel by Will Ferguson.
