It's Election Day in California tomorrow. Apparently, it provides political parties to bombard you with recorded phone calls for a week. I have received around 30-50 phone calls in the past week from various political supporters. It's reached the point of harassment.

Anyone else been inundated with these inane calls?

I NEVER get these calls, despite thinking i'd actually have a lot of fun with them. Chalk it up to not having a landline I suppose...

Or not having voted in local primaries. That is the real killer in terms of getting contacted by campaigns.

The TV ads around here are INSANE...probably 5 every commercial break, and they are one after the other against each other. The best one is the one claiming that a guy's opponent supports molos rights.

Has anyone ever had a telemarketer hit on you? That's fun.

The biggest waste of campaign funds ever.

Does nothing but annoy people.

The only possible person that this could work on would be the 85 year old grandmother sitting at home all day watching her "stories" and is just thrilled that someone called.

No, but once when I was dj'ing in college, a guy called in to win tickets for a concert, and when I informed him he was the winner, he proceeded to ask me if I wanted to go with him. </hijack>

I only got one political phone recording this past election.

It also works if your targetting is right and your messenger is good.

Bill Clinton calling black neighborhoods? YES

Bill clinton calling upper middle class white people? NO
