Pm sent. I've been waiting for something from them for some time. Their debut was one of my favorites of the 00's.

Yeah, I'd love to hear this as well. A good reminder to give Lovers a spin as well.

It's called God Lead Your Soul.

I upped it like a month ago. Search.

Halfway through, it's clear that God Lead Your Soul is hands down the best song.

It annoys me when the lead single is the best song. Or even when there is a clear 'best song' on a record.

On first impression: I can't put my finger on it, but this album seems to have less of the psych/ephemeral feel of Lovers. Some of it sounds downright disco-y, or Jamiroquiesque.

i hope that it is just that I am hungover, pissed off, and in the car...maybe it'll sound better on sunday mornings, which is definitely when I like Lovers.

I'm going to agree with this, "You Won't Bring People Down in My Town" definitely has that Jamirish vibe, which is okay with me. I like the lazy hazy feel that permeates the album, very summery. I'll play this a few more times today, but I really enjoyed this on first pass. I haven't heard Lovers in awhile now, so I'm finding it difficult to make comparisons off the top of my head.

Many thanks as always, D.
