they've got to dramatically improve the durability of the current screens before I would consider the full-screen pod to be anything more than a pain in the ass

My 30gb screen is still in pristine condition, thanks to the invisible shield. the best $25 i've ever spent.

yeah, I've got a hard cover myself...it's worked great...but if I needed to touch the actual screen to operate it, there's no telling how tore up my screen would be

i promise i'm not an advertiser, but the invisible shield is thin enough that i think you would have no problem operating the ipod while keeping the screen in perfect shape.

my 15 GB one is still working and all, but I WANNA WATCH TV. and its battery life sucks.

Get a new battery for $10. I replaced mine in about 15 minutes. Worth it even if you're just going to sell it off.

A new battery should give you the same as a new ipod - about 12 hours. Battery life on any ipod will get worse with time, as a matter of course. But if yours has always been that bad, I don't know what to tell you.

no, it's gotten that bad over however many years of use. I am def. gonna get a new battry before buying a new ipod.
