It's graduation time. Time to sweat my balls off for two hours in the gym. To play music for these little punks. Some of them are all right, but most of them...

Anyhow, the school board of Chicago and Mayor Daley decided that regardless of graduation requirements, all 8th graders walk across the stage.

What message are they sending?

Apparently the message they're sending is to have the 6th graders wage war in the lunchroom during graduation, distracting our security folks from the ceremony. And that it's o.k. for the parents to leave their seat DURING THE RECESSIONAL, causing a bottleneck of parents and graduates.

DUMB. ASSES.

And apparently they're also sending the message that it's o.k. for parents of graduates to brawl after the ceremony directly in front of the main entrance. There's a cop station right by, and a bunch of parents got carted off.

4 days... just 4 more.

You guys graduate from every year?

As in, have an actual ceremony to mark it? Every year?

At my school we just invited the people who got awards. All the average kids got nothing, but then they also didn't have to come back to school in the evening for the presentations.

Just 8th and 12th graduate.

All graduates, regardless of mediocrity, attend.

And this year, all students, regardless of meeting graduation requirements, also participated.

I'll see if i can get a copy of the fight on dvd off of our security cameras.

I've got a sweet vid of me tackling a kid at the request of one of my assistant principals. It was more me intercepting the little shit, and he bowled me over a few times but i didn't let go. I got mvp for the day.
