i can't believe that i'm the same age as touch & go records.

this could be a very good show if some more heavies are added to the bill. the hideout block party is always a good time anyway. and many of the already announced bands work well outside, so i am really looking forward to this.

This may be a very stupid question, but are the Hideout "block parties" actually outdoors, or are they block parties in name only? Similar events at Schuba's were sometimes held outdoors but not always.

Where is the Slint reunion?
That's what this show needs.
It is awesome without it, and I congratulate them.
I thought about posting this earlier when I read it on Pitchfork, but it isn't really my thing.

yes, mike. a hideout block party is outside. it's not like they're blocking traffic there anyway.

Isn't Ted Leo on T&G now? Shouldn't he be playing this?

he is. he was announced on the initial lineup, along with the black heart procession, calexico, cocorosie, didjits, enon, pinback, scratch acid, and shellac.

I am so there if Seam and The Ex play on the same day. This will be my first show in well over a year.

We were thinking about driving to Chicago for this but three nights in a hotel would be pretty expensive.

I don't think there's anyone on here from Chicago that I would ever want to stay with.

PEGBOY!!!
My God, I love that band.
Larry Damore is one helluva frontman.

The only thing that lineup is missing is a Naked Raygun reunion.

The weather will be nice enough then that you can park bench it.

As far as cheap hotels near the hideout... there's really nothing, but you wouldn't want to stay near the hideout anyways unless the music was going down.

Wow, Seam.

And that concludes my official "well that takes me back" moment for the day.
