I finally gave in and agreed to put this up for them:

Ok, they're running a countrywide contest with four rounds. This is round one. So can you guys do them a favor and go vote?

Plus there's a brand new, finished track on there from their new album.

You have to put your email addy in to vote and then you just confirm your vote through your email.

Thanks guys I know they'd really appreciate it if you helped!

LOL yeah but there's like a couple thousand bands on there competing. I think 89th isn't too bad.

Oh and just don't forget to confirm in your email inbox otherwise your hard work will just mean nothing. sniff

Done. I almost voted for The Cankles, but then imagined them as some stupid Bowling For Soup type band and decided against it.

Also, who is posting now as "Dim"?

I'd vote but I would probably end up choosing someone else instead.

I voted, even though I think this type of contest is stupid - they're like relay races for street teams.

Reading the rules, the top 100 move on to the next round where the professionals review and narrow down the field based on actually listening to the music.

True, but then where would I have used my clever comment about street teams?

OK... it wasn't THAT clever.
