Randoms thoughts for me today...

- last night was the 2nd night in a week where I've had a dream about my dysfunctional/bi polar sister in law and her poor son. I haven't seen or talked to them in over a year. Why the dreams?
- I put on cargo pants, a t-shirt and a zip up hoodie this morning and thought to myself, "How much longer can I dress like this and get away with it?"
- I called a friend in Atlanta to tell her happy birthday. She's 38. We were roommates in college. It feels weird that we're both almost 40. (see 2nd random thought again)
- I'm thinking about Playa del Carmen in March 2007. I need a vacation now though.
- I'm scheduling a consultation with our 401k advisor. All my funds are tanking right now. Grrr.

Guh. My life seems a malaise at the moment.

Ha. My "Investment Representative" called me this morning to give me a pep talk about the market and my funds. Like, "Don't freak out when you get your statement this month" Thanks.

I think its high time you got yourself a child, young lady. Just adopt. Then you won't even miss a weekend on the bike or the wall.

Yeah, that makes sense... I can have a kid, and become a robo-parent. That will solve all my problems! You funny, Chris.

Nah, I'm just in a funk. I'll get out of it, but right now, I'm just kinda depressed and unfocused. Thank God for obner to keep me on the straight and narrow! ;)

Somebody in my office is gonna be fired because of state contracts that are disappearing in the Katrina continual fallout. I'm 95% sure it won't be me but I kind of wish it was.

Senor Six was just down there shooting a music video---out in the desert. He said it was pretty insane. All he did was put on intense sunblock and drink bottles and bottles of water.

36, so four more years

e-stone: a robo-parent-- one of those robotic people you see about that has no general interests or life outside of their children, i.e. EVERYTHING revolves around the kids, they're constantly tired, they're overworked, they're generally operating on autopilot. I typically cannot be friends with these types of people only because they can't focus long enough to have a normal adult conversation anymore. I would say that no one on obner is like this, otherwise they wouldn't be on obner.

My (not-so-) random thought of the day:

- Thank God that teacher I've been working with didn't show up to the meeting we had scheduled today. Now my boss is finally going to fire her and I can actually get some work done. Such a relief to not have to go through a meeting acting fake-friendly to her.

- I am so lucky to have such a wonderful and sweet man in my life.

- Either these pants shrunk or I've gotta cut down on the sweets.

I feel this way often.

I wish I could wave a wand, and win or lose, it would be November 8.

I am going to the beach this weekend, and that'll keep FEMGAR happy, but I can't say that I like the beach. MAYBE, finding the outlet store Bloor told me about will make my weekend better.

(Though I know it won't cos I will get to blow MY clothes on budget on "I found these 8 things that are ony $8-$12 a piece")

But why do you have to be a robo-parent? Why can't you be the fun-loving, outdoorsey person you are now, only with a kid to share all that with?

You gots baby issues my friend.

Jason, please, for the love of all that is holy... please do not let your child run around or shriek at the top of their lungs in a restaurant, and act like they're not doing anything. I want to strangle those parents. I don't want to strangle you or your wife. You're good people.

Nah, 36 ain't 40, but like I said, I'm kinda depressed today! ;)

Fuck that. My lady works---she can buy her own damn clothes and accessories. And so it is that she has bought herself two(2) new Coach purses recently with nary a complaint from me.

As for the beach: I enjoyed this most recent trip more than any since I was a kid mainly because of having my lady there.

Nah, no baby issues. Just not inclined to breed and don't want the responsibility. There's nothing wrong with that. I think there are other things in life that await me besides being a mother. Just because I can doesn't mean I should.

unless they perform some kind of lobotomy on us at the same time as childbirth, i'd have to say there is no chance in hell we'll let that happen. that is probably issue #1 on the docket for us as far as what we will NOT allow as parents.

You know FEMGAR makes dat money, but I gotta keep a handle on her expenditures or we'll bounce the downpayment check on the house ;)
