So I saw 'em last night. I know I'm getting old because I'm not sure if I'd ever seen them before (other than at a big festival with a short set) or not. I think I saw them back in the late 80's but those shows tend to blur alot so I'm not really sure.

It was with a little trepidation that I had decided to go. They are probably my favorite mid to late 80's band and I've been a little lukewarm towards their recent work so I was a little worried about being disappointed. But they were really good. I also didn't really think about it, but I guess they are touring as much in support of the reissue of their first four albums as they are in support of their last new album so the set list pulled heavily from the first four. I'd guess about 70% came from the first four.

So if they're coming your way and you're a fan, make the effort.

Here's the rest of their tourdates from pollstar:

Tue 06/13/06 Cabazon, CA Key Club @ Morongo

Fri 06/16/06 Dallas, TX Gypsy Tea Room / Ballroom

Sat 06/17/06 Austin, TX La Zona Rosa

Tue 06/20/06 Atlanta, GA Coca Cola Roxy Theatre

Wed 06/21/06 Lake Buena Vista, FL House Of Blues

Fri 06/23/06 Charlotte, NC Amos' Southend

Sat 06/24/06 Norfolk, VA The NorVa

Mon 06/26/06 Washington, DC Black Cat

Tue 06/27/06 New Haven, CT Toad's Place

Thu 06/29/06 Philadelphia, PA Theatre Of Living Arts

Fri 06/30/06 Boston, MA Paradise Rock Club / Lounge

Sat 07/01/06 New York, NY Irving Plaza

Thu 07/20/06 Benicassim, SPA Benicassim Festival

I saw them about 6 years ago, back when I only knew about 2 songs of theirs. I love the show and have been a full-on fan ever since.

Unless it was super late you should have gone anyway. They didn't come on until 10:30 - 10:40'ish and played until close to 12:30.

The problem was that a friend was selling me the ticket and I had to meet her at the Fonda around 6:30pm. I couldn't break away from work and had to forfeit going. :(

Shows do blend together for me as well but I kept ticket stubs. I saw Echo and the Bunnymen three times in the late 80's. The tour I really remember was at Irvine Meadows with co headliners New Order. Gene Loves Jezebel was the opening band and they, NO and Echo, changed who closed every night, I went to both shows and was blown away. Both bands were so amazingly good that I remember these show.
