will there be antoher season of extras?

will the first season of these shows come out on dvd?

stella was on comedy central last year. it had 3 of the dudes from the old mtv show, the state. a lot of people didn't like it. i thought it was hilarious.

extras was on hbo last year. it was ricky gervais post-the office show about an aspiring actor who was an extra on a bunch of different movies. great guest spots by ben stiller, kate winslet, and others.

Stella is the only other thing I've seen from the guys who did Wet Hot American Summer and I can't put into words how disappointed I was.

what did you think was hilarious? i thought it was horrendous. the only time i got through a whole episode was when i asked my roommate for something and she said "when this is over" and it'd just started two minutes before. so i stood in her doorway while she watched the episode.

something about showalter and black just cracks me up. i know most thought it sucked. but i loved it. the one where they opened the coffee shop, or the one where they had the farm in their apt. i dunno...just my kind of stupid humor, i guess.

Fuck, I loved Stella. It was totally hit-or-miss, but that was part of it's charm. The episode where they lose their apartment and end up performing open-heart surgery on their landlord was genius.

And it's not coming back.

They're filming the second season of Extras right now. Not sure about the DVD of the first season but it should be out soon.

It's a hit in England and it's brilliant.

I hated the version of Stella on Comedy Central but a friend showed me the Stella Shorts dvd and it's fucking hilarious. I hated The State too.
