For the most part, I seem to see nothing but anti-Bush sentiments around here. And nearly everywhere, for that matter. Aside from the odd guest on the Daily Show or Colbert Report.

So I'm curious to know if anyone on here actually voted for Bush. If not, is it really just a concentrated red state/blue state thing where the big places like New York and LA all vote for the other guy but they're outnumbered by the entire Southern population?

I didn't vote. I guess I don't qualify (as a human, that is).

I lived out of the country when the dems lost to Bush in the first instance; then I voted for Wesley Clark in the primaries in which he lost so I voted for Kerry in the last election.

I refused to vote for anyone in 2000 and I voted Kerry in 2004. I was hoping Bradley won the Democratic Nomination in 2000. At this moment, I doubt I will be voting in 2008, if the two candidates who are currently leading their respective parties win.

Worked on the Clinton/Gore '96 campaign, so I can't imagine a scenario where I would've voted for anyone other than Gore in '00. Voted for Kerry in '04 and honestly did believe he would've made a credible contribution to the executive, even if he would've had his hands full. I expect to vote for Deval Patrick against whoever is following Mitt Romney here in Mass this fall and I can't imagine a scenario where I would vote pro-GOP in a national race, but I'll stay open-minded just in case...

You're only looking at very Dem-slanted demographics - youth.

While we are on the topic, Doris Kearns Goodwin, the presidential historian was on Imus this morning discussing Hilary Clinton's chances. She thought she had a good shot of actually being elected president, Imus doesn't think she has a chance in hell, but didn't mock her.
Then she suggested she'd rather see someone like Joseph Biden. I'll admit I am a member of a party of complete morons if they nominate a Senator again. Since LBJ left office, the tradition states they have no chance at winning the election.
The Dems should have started grooming some outsider or celebrity in 2004 for a run in 2008.

LBJ didn't go from Senate to President, remember. He shot his way in.

JFK and Warren G. Harding are the only two since 1900 (at least) to go from Senate to President.

I think too many people hate Hilary for her to have a chance. A lot of moderates would vote against her whereas they might not vote at all or would vote for a democrat otherwise.

Warren G only got elected because of his relationship with Snoop.

I don't think you understand the Electoral College.

Also, I voted Harry Browne in 2000 and Michael Badnarik in 2004.

Nice job voting for the Libertarians. I will likely be voting that way in the next election even if it does mean basically throwing away my vote. I like their point of view and am completely disillusioned with American politics as it is.

Don't forget Nate Dogg's support for Regulation.

I voted Clinton in 1996, but Bush/Gore & Bush/Kerry was like trying to decide if I wanted hot fudge or hot caramel on my shit sundae.

I am sorry but a republican would have to blow me the fuck away for me to vote for them. They choose to be associated with a party that is anti-choice, conservative, anti-gay marriage, etc etc.

I can't believe ANYONE voted for Bush in '00, let alone in '04. I know people say it was a bad decision either way but Kerry was so infinitely better than Bush it was a no brainer for me and I gave my vote to kerry with little lament.

so, yeah, I have never voted for a republican ever in my life. am I a horrible, judgemental person? probably. oh well.

I will go on record saying that Bush is one of the most horrible people I have heard of/seen/witnessed etc in my lifetime.

I voted for Harry Browne in '00, and then I went against my convictions in '04 and voted for Kerry. I'll probably go back to voting Libertarian until Obama runs.

Ditto. I really hope the Dems come up with someone electable in 2008, but I find it unlikely.
