Wow. Nicest album cover I've seen in awhile! Wow.
Who is that? His last name is similar to mine(???)
RIYL?

Me:

Nine Horses - Snow Borne Sorrow

Over the weekend my bro told me I sing like David Sylvian.
I nearly fainted. Biggest compliment EVER.

from the Forced Exposure site:

re: Jakob Olausson:

"If Skip Spence were somehow, instead of finding his white-frocked self stuck in the rat-infested hole that was Bellvue, transplanted to the pine forests north of Duluth in a sonic nest of gimbri, bells, shakers and clothed in Tibetan silk, one would come slightly closer to the reality of Jakob Olausson's migratory whims. To be sure, that foggy and only slightly inland empire of synapse-twisters like Ben Chasny offers a step on the trodden trail, but this isn't the same road we've traveled before. Olausson's huge ears protect him from the cold and keep the sun from turning his face to a series of desert crags, as his compositions slowly fade down the walls of four-track bedroom artistry into atemporal suites that shrink huge expanses and are a bellows to the microcosmic. Enter the Moonlight Farm."

Now that's just insane. sounds like my dream record.

Yeah the cover is so good. The album possibly better. Useless at RIYL, i can hook you up with the album or post a sample later, but gotta watch England win now! But seriously, good shot at my top 5. He has such a fucked up but awesome voice if you know what i mean.

all on emusic. too bad i bought the loon before it hit emusic.

bought beirut on emu and am thinking of doing the same with mojave 3 -- have heard 2 tracks (#s 2 & 3 i think) and like 'em in a pleasant-pop, essex green or new-porn-light kinda way.

Dang, Dri. That's almost my exact recent playlist you've got up there. Weird.

It sure is. I just got this and it's owning me. I know it was released elsewhere prior to '06, but this is definitely going on my list. Thanks to you and e-stone for talking these folks up.
