Sounds like Hislop is a brick wall again in this match. It would be sweet if T&T drew with England.

What you talking about? Hislop has had nothing to do yet.

Oh and shut up!

Christ almighty.

Hislop hasn't been challenged once really. Thank goodness terry cleared that ball.

I can't watch it, so I assumed by the stats and what I have heard that he's facing alot of shots.

Again I am not watching this match, but their match against Paraguay was a snoozefest and so far nothing has really happened to suggest they are a stellar club with the talent and celebrity status they have.

Damn that Peter Crouch scored a goal in the 83rd minute. If I was a vengeful person I'd hope he suffered a Jan Koller like injury.

i owe two beers rather quickly.

Lennon and Rooney provided a real spark....they looked much better from that point on.

Congrats England
It's good they came on strong like that at the end, or they might be mocked on here.
I'm interested to see how they come out against Sweden. Seems like they haven't played a game at 100% yet.

Hopefully they'll peak further into the Cup...no need to peak too early...i guess

damn, england looked like a different team after the double substitution. i couldn't really tell how the formation changed. . . was carragher in a midfield holding role and the switch was to a 4-3-3 with rooney and lennon on the wings? or was carragher in the back line and the switch was to remove a defender and replace him with a midfielder?

i feel bad for t&t, they really busted their asses and it all fell apart in the dying minutes.

edit: and crouch is officially the whiniest little bitch of the tournament so far. . .

untrue...i've noticed loads of south american players diving and faking injuries....plus loads of whining. Crouch was somewhat whiny today.

I thought Crouch was a huge whiner against Paraguay, if he was acting the same way, then he is officially the biggest whiner of the tournament.
The guy is huge, he should act tough rather than be the british soccer equivalent of Bill Laimbeer.

by the way this Sweden v. Paraguay game is quite a bit more entertaining than the England match

England needs to stop playing Owen without hesitation. Even though he's still young, Owen hasnt been on form for years.

My problem with the England team is that we do not have one player who is willing to take a player on. Gerard needs to be more confident and do more of his powerful surging runs. Cole has the ability to commit a defender. With Rooney on we at last have a link between midfield and the forwards which has been the big problem and hopefully he can feed Lampard & Gerard so they can do what they do best.. Sven needs to decide what to do with Beckham as Lennon gives us a much better option down the right and put a lot more pressure on the full back, which opens the game for others. We need Becks for his set pieces and awesome deliveries, but where would you play him?

24 passes apparently.

Best team by a mile so far. Compare this with the endurance that is watching Group B.
