So what's the deal with the Album Leaf? I took my 14 yr old nephew to Easy Street Records in Seattle last weekend and he totally flipped out about finding an ep by that band. I had to admit I'd never heard of them - which is something that Uncle Rads does NOT like to do in front of the chillen.

I guess I'll resort to google.

atmospheric, mostly instrumental indie rock played very well. slight electronic/ambient influences. deep and meditative, not boring.

it seems to me that your nephew has good taste at a young age.

I liked the last one because of Sigur Ros's involvement. To me, it seemed like it was a split between AL and SR, eventhough it was more of a collaboration. Pretty great album to chill/sleep to.

this is why i liked "in a safe place" which was really beautiful -- i'm referring to "seal beach" which was not so much nuanced as it was boring. perhaps we're talking about different things?

katie, the new album sounds similar to "in a safe place".
