"Doo Doo Brown" is stuck in my head now. That, and a picture of Heather Graham in Boogie Nights. I'm a happy girl.

i like how you think. that's painfully hot.

i totally want to skate now. while wearing leg warmers and big white plastic earrings and teal eye shadow and chewing on some bubble yum.

that describes quite a few of the girls there :) i love that it's like a trip back to the late 70's early 80's, minus the cocaine and hair of course (which is unfortunate).

there was even some girl in a full body skeleton costume flyin' around the rink. rad.

there is a sign in plan 9 for girls to join a roller derby team or something.

i thought about it, but if i were to do it then i need to get myself to ashland where the closest skating rink is so i can freshen up my skills or lack thereof.

You should do it. The Lincoln team is using the arena I work at for practice and most of the people struggle to skate. They just had a bunch of new girls tryout for the team, and they struggled for quite some time.

Excellent -- I'm older than late 20s but younger than 42...maybe I should see if it is a lucrative field, heh.

I think I'm too old to be a roller derby girl. There is a "team" in Norfolk...one of 'em I've met and she is a neo-Goth chick.

One of my former roommates does it, too, and she's 28 like me.

I remember Saturday afternoons at the Skate Skeller when I was like 9-10. "The Loco-Motion" by Grand Funk and "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" by BTO were pretty much on endless loop.
