Y'know, I appreciate you as a poster much more than your girlfriend, but you're 17 - there's a LOT of things you can't imagine.

Haha I didn't know my opinions could stir up so much controversy from the old-folk. I wasn't even pointing anyone out. I'm sure if I had said that no one over 20 could enjoy blink 182 everyone would be in agreement, but bring in some of the founders of modern indie rock and the world is in upheaval.

There is the key phrase as to why the old people get their panties in a bunch. Without them, there would not be a lot of the music you listen to and enjoy today. And why a lot of the Depends posse are in a snit.

I think Milky Bluebera overestimates his turmoil quotient.

He seems smart, but then he says some dumb ass shit. I'll take elizabeth over christian.

And plenty of your high school classmates will rock out through college into their early working years to Blink 182 in bars across America. Hell, many of my high school classmates will be doing the same in about 5 hours.

I never much cared for them, but damnit was a great single. Best thing they ever recorded, and I'd enjoy it if it came on. I'm not quite dead yet.

I don't know, within seconds of my posts I get adults calling me a big loser moron with shit in my pants + other schoolyard phrases.

It's not even intentional, but once you don't like an Obner sacred cow it's nearly instantaneous.

Oh, I'd be doing the same thing if I were 17.

Everyone on the planet is full of pant poop in one way or other.

Well I mean I never denied it, but it's just been at least a decade since I've heard something like that directed to me. And I'm not even two decades old yet.

I know alot of adults here seem to act like they know alot. But I feel like the older I get the more I know about exactly how much I don't know. So if i act like I know alot now, I surely know worlds more than I did at 17 when i was an insufferable asshole.

You're like a skinny girl crying to a fat guy about how you need to lose weight. You don't even know. And you won't know till you get further along. It's a precarious balance.

I thought you had to at least be of legal drinking age and in a rock and roll band to truly appreciate the 'Mats.

Also, I'm pretty positive Westerberg's penned at least 1-2 tunes that could be considered ageless, though not particularly timeless depending on how much you care about the production values ("androgynous" come to mind).

Never listened to a full replacements song.

only westerburg songs I know are the ones from the Singles soundtrack(if it's even the same dude--haha) and they are pretty much awful.

is over 20 and under 40 and wished mom still wiped my poopy pants.

The Replacements' songs are a LOT better than those.

<----Likes Blink, over the age of 20.

I don't mind you saying that a band is hard to appreciate after a certain age, I can understand that. I don't know what makes the Replacements fall in this category though. Blink I understand but not the Mats.
