when I lived in Europe I smoked Gauloises like a fiend. It was awesome.
But I was sick ALL THE TIME. In the years since I have smoke progressively less and less. Now it's almost exclusively when I am drinking. It's like a switch. 2 drinks and bam! smokey smokey

but it's funny, during the normal week/day, I cannot STAND even a bit of smoke around me!

i had one offered to me last night and I turned it down, which was quite an accomplishment seeing that I was 5 beers deep at the time.

quitting is easy.

as long as you don't hang around any of your friends who still smoke. or go to any bars. or drink.

basically, you have to be a recluse for about 6 months.

my wife and i quit july of '03. she has cheated exactly once. i have cheated about 264 times.

It's a lot easier to quit living in NYC. No smoking in bars and I hardly know anyone who smokes anymore.

the whole no-smoking-in-bars thing has made me cut back A LOT. I love it

I thought the easiest way to quit living in NYC was to never start.

Eight days so far and not a single temptation. Other than any time I see someone smoking in person, or in a movie. Or hear someone talk about how great smoking is. Other then that, it's been a piece of cake.

Quitting smoking for me was quite easy... I did it 10-12 times.

ok guys, I'm trying to quit again...I'm 4 days in and I want to vomit.

down to 5 a day. my plan is to take it very slow. next month i will cut down to 4, the next month 3, and so on.

i don't want to quit permmanetly, maybe have 1 smoke at the end of every week.
