i love this album so much it hurts.

i've been on a huge willie nelson kick lately, but this one takes the cake.
if you've never heard it it tells the cycle of a relationship.

side a is the man's perspective.
side b is the woman's.

both are impossibly awesome.

I was listening to this on my drive home last night. I like it, but honestly I think I like Shotgun Willie better. I don't have much Willie Nelson stuff, but I've been starting to get into him a little more lately.

shotgun willie is my number two, or tied for number one depending on my mood.

Phases and Stages is fucking perfect.

Down at the corner beer joint dancin' on a hardwood floor

Phases and Stages and Shotgun Willie were two of the most-played 8-tracks by my Dad on family road trips. I love them both just as much today as I did 30+ years ago.

I listened to Kristofferson last night. I can't remember the last time I started it and said, "eh, this wasn't what I was looking for", which happens to me all the damn time.
