I thought the best interviews were those with the coroner. That guy was clamoring for some screen time and you could tell. Talk about over the top and overly dramatic. I would probably watch a documentary revolving around his crazy ass.

I saw it. I was shocked. Not at the ending - everybody knew that was coming. I was shocked because, prior to seeing the film, I was under the impression that the dude was some kind of biologist or scientist. Not some failed actor starved for attention.

That guy had no business being around those bears.

The interview with the fruitcake friends, coupled with the unedited footage of the ego-driven whiney lost soul set up the portrayal of what has always interested Herzog... this isn't about a guy and bears... this is about insufficient deluded humans in a dark and violent universe. If you are just interested in a bloody mauling, or a sad anti-world Disney nature fllick... this isn't for you.
