Dalen, what do you think about the new one? I'm actually dedicating a bit of real listening time towards it this morning and am really enjoying it. This pairs well to an early summer morning. I haven't heard No Cities Left in awhile so I'll have to spin it for comparison.

Okay okay. It just seems like not long ago that I was paying for his beer.

I love you peeps and I'm sure you'll likey the music and pass it on, etc. I'm just still not generally a fan of DLing the indies.

If most of the indies I were interested in didn't go for around $20 I might not download either, but I don't have that kind of pocket change to drop on a dog.

I very rarely buy anyting without listening first. I understand.
It's just when people post a whole record...
I'm just a proponent of the "you like it, you buy it" philosophy.

I'm enjoying it as well. Standouts for me: Hate Then Love, Whites Only Party (love the almost Coral vibe on this), Death Or Life We Want You (probably my fav on the album.

There are a few artists where I'll pick up there stuff without hearing a note of it because I'll almost certainly like it (Stereolab is one, although the last one is a bit of a dog). Having heard all of The Dears' new album, I will buy it. I probably would have picked it up anyway if the price was right, but chances are...

there is no question in this. if i dig, i buy.

i think that passing along music to others helps bands....especially the more unknown bands. look at the Arctic Monkeys.
