Has that penalty come back to earth yet?

Crappy yellow for diving. He went down akwardly after some contact. How in the Hell is that a card for diving?

Mexico's had chances. If they lose, nobody to blame.

I don't know whether he deserved a yellow card or not, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the dive that triggered it.

He was arguing pretty heatedly with the ref and jabbing him in the chest with his finger after the call. I'd imagine that or whatever he said is what got him the penalty.

I feel so sorry for Michael Owen after all the criticism from the first two games. Damn shame, I think we would of seen a completely different performance from him playing alongside Rooney.

Really enjoyed the Portugal game, definite dive for me though. After seeing the replays Mex should of had a penalty from that Ferreira tackle.

looks like a lot of obners earned their yellow cards last weekend.

Yep, I've seen several tackles since the USA-Italy game that seem at least as serious as the Mastroeni tackle... with just a foul, yellow card, or sometimes nothing called. I sorta hate the amount of yellow cards this tournament (not for going down to the womb-door)... but flopping in front of the goal was out of control in the past couple world cups...
