It's more of the overall realization that most "adults" are just a bunch of big kids roaming around acting like idoits.

I really was thinking this yesterday as I came home from work. Most people act like frickin' kindergarten kids. You know those types on the subway who are trying to get by you and say "Excuse me" in this b*tchy tone, and you you tell them nicely that you have nowhere to move to and they give you this look like they want to kill you. It's frickin tense enough on crowded public transit then there's just someone who makes it worse.

Public trans people are the worst. Last week, I was getting ready to exit the el (two people were in front of me waiting for the doors to open) and this guy behind me said, "Off, please!" in a very loud, annoyed voice. I turned around and said, "We're all getting off. Patience." He mumbled something, but come the fuck on... the train hasn't stopped, the doors haven't opened. Relax.

There's also a very prissy guy who gets on my train in the morning. he pushes past all the women and has actually shoved me out of the way to get on the train first. he tosses his head like he's got three feet of blond hair attached to it and I swear, one day I'm going to headbutt him.

No offense, but only the unwashed masses ride public transit. BLECH!

I MIGHT get on MARTA when in ATL, if I had a Level-5 Decontamination Suit.

Maybe in the south where cars are the primary source of transportation (that's just an assumption, by the way - i don't actually know what the south's primary source of trans is), but up here, we have lots of fancy folks on public trans. The train line that I live near stops at some of the fanciest north shore suburbs out there.

Oh, I understand all of that, but it is no less disgusting ;)

I wouldn't live in a place like that unless I could hire a car to take me places.

Basically, its not going out in public, but mingling with the masses that has brought on this rant.

Although I'm not a big proponent of cars (oil reasons, environmental reasons, city planning reasons, etc...) I realized the other day just how much I loath public transport. I used to be able to come into work a little later and would therefore miss rushhour... but now I'm back on a 9-5 schedule and ready to go ballistic crammed in with all those people.

I'm so glad my new house is within walking distance of work and the town center.

It has absolutely nothing to do with my lofty opinion of myself and the people I surround myself with. ;)

I very between 1% and 99.9999%. I'm an all or nothing kinda guy.

I try to think most of the crap that pisses me off does just that and isn't really worth my hate. But then I start driving, or listening to talk radio (of any socio-political/religious slant) and I wanna just start dropping bodies.

the more I think about it I really might have some sort of jeckyll/hyde disorder.

I hate Loogs now, JK
I ride public transport all the time now, if I don't ride the bike.
Most people I ride with are State Employees who don't want to deal with the hassle of parking downtown.
Occassionally you get some dirty weirdos, but for the most part my bus is for college students and thrifty bureaucrats who live near the burbs.

I am very dissapointed by the small amount voting 100% and the fact that 6 peeps voted 10%..REALLY..

Although the fact that the pussy eating thread got more than this should be appropos to John Zoghby.l
