My friend Marco's label
Bully Records is releasing Silver Apples' little known 3rd album entitled "The Garden". As far as I know, only 1000 CDs of this album were released by the band in the late 90s. Recording of it began in 1968 and resumed in 1998 with some synth additions. The album consists of original material and a few covers (incl. "Mustang Sally" and "John Hardy"). And it is thoroughly awesome. Fans of the band's first two albums will love this, as it builds on their stark, propulsive sound by flourishing unto somewhat brighter territory. I couldn't be more excited about this.
Bully Records has built a name for itself by releasing limited edition, numbered, hand-packaged, silk-screened heady instrumental hip-hop 7 inches featuring Signify, Sixtoo, Controller 7, P-Love, Mat Kelly, and so on. Stealing your motherfucking lunch money since 2002.
